Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K. Laxman on Friday demanded that the Telangana Government convene a special session of the state legislature to discus farmers' issues in view of widespread crop failure.
Laxman said that the state government should come forward, as there were a lot of issues, that needed to be discussed.
"There are many issues to be discussed and debated in the assembly, particularly the famine, farmers' suicide, unemployment, free reimbursement and the policies of the government particularly the introducing of cheap liquor and more over the welfare schemes," Laxman told ANI here.
Laxman further said that the government promised a lot in the Budget Session but no step has been taken yet.
