The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday dubbed the suspension of Pakistan-India dialogue as "unfortunate" and said it is obvious that Islamabad is least interested in talking on the grave issue of terrorism.
"This prank was expected by Pakistan. It is very unfortunate, the intent shown by them (Pakistan) is obvious that they are not interested in talking on terror," Rudy told ANI.
"After the External Affairs Minister made it very clear that there can't be talks with terror but talks on terror and this is our stated stand," he added.
He further said that the cancellation of talks is unfortunate, but they wanted the separatist to be brought into the talks, which is unacceptable to India.
"Other things can be taken up once the talks on terror is over and we confine ourselves on the issues that are impeding the relations between both the countries, which is terror of course," he added.
Pakistan called off the NSA-level talks with India late yesterday night.
A statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office said the proposed talks will not serve any purpose if conducted on the basis of what it called "preconditions" laid down by India.
