Blake Shelton will be making his 'Saturday Night Live' (SNL) debut, and will be both performing as well as hosting the show that night.
The 38-year-old singer would one of the few to tackle both roles as in the NBC show's 40-year history, less than 40 performers have ever attempted both, with only a handful being country stars, People magazine reported.
The stars who have played both parts include Nashville greats Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, 'Voice' host Carson Daly shared a congratulatory on Twitter writing "Congrats blakeshelton on hosting #SNL gig. Just goes to prove kids..you can literally drink your way to the top.
