Ace Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna and his Hungarian partner Timea Babos were defeated in the Australian Open mixed doubles final by Croatia's Mate Pavic and Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski here on Sunday.
The fifth-seeded Indo-Hungarian pair won the first set 6-2 but the match went for a tie-break after Pavic and Dabrowski levelled the match on one set each.
Bopanna and Babos lost the match 6-2, 4-6, 9-11 in the decider.
It was Bopanna's third major final and second mixed-doubles title clash.
