England batsman Ravi Bopara is reportedly of the opinion that Jos Buttler's controversial 'Mankad' dismissal in the final ODI of the five-match series won by Sri Lanka would provide extra 'needle' for the upcoming Test series.

Sri Lanka's Sachithra Senanayake had removed the bails as Buttler was backing up at the non-striker's end during England's six-wicket defeat at Edgbaston on Tuesday.

According to the BBC, Bopara said that he feels there would be a bit of needle in the two-match Test series, which begins at Lord's on 12 June, now.

Bopara, who is unlikely to feature in the Test side, said that it means that England would have to come really hard at Sri Lanka, which is when they play their best cricket.
