Cannot wait to come back to Pakistan: Sandeep Lamichhane

Nepal's spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who participated in this year's edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), has said that he "cannot wait to come back to the country" to play again.

"It was lovely to be here (in Karachi). I enjoyed my visit and would wait for another trip, whether for the PSL or with the Nepal team. It was a lifetime experience, International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted Lamichhane as saying. "I cannot wait to come back to Pakistan with the Nepal cricket team as I am sure more cricket will come to Pakistan. The fans were very passionate and deserved more cricket. We all felt at home and it is really great news for Pakistan that we have played PSL matches here in Karachi."

The spinner, who was part of the Lahore Qalandars, said it was a challenge to play T20 cricket in the sub-continent as batsmen here are skilled at tackling spinners.

"It is always challenging to play T20 cricket, and more than that, batsmen in the subcontinent play spin well, so it was a double challenge. I have to learn a lot of things to come good," Lamichhane said.

The 18-year-old hopes to replicate his domestic T20 form for his national side as well.

"I am sure Nepal is on their way to bigger cricket and I want to play my part in that, I am doing the hard work and hope rewards will come with hard work," he said.

Lamichhane was able to take eleven wickets in the tournament with an average of 17.18.

Lahore Qalandars finished at the bottom of the table in the PSL with just three wins from 10 matches.
