Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has agreed a new deal at Old Trafford, with an official announcement due at the end of this week.
According to SportsMole.co.uk, Carrick's current deal with the Red Devils expires next summer, with United boss David Moyes keen to keep the midfield anchor beyond the length of those terms.
The 32-year-old has been mulling over a contract offer for much of the last fortnight and has now given the green light to a deal worth the same as his current 3.5m dollars-a-year terms, the report said.
The midfielder's two-and-a-half-year extension also includes an option for a further 12 months, securing the England international's long-term future in a deal that looks likely to see the midfielder end his career with United, the report added.
Carrick is currently sidelined through injury, with Moyes unlikely to have him fit until 2014 as he recovers from an Achilles problem, the report further said.
