A special CBI court on Friday granted bail to all of the accused in the case related to the allocation of the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand.
Special CBI judge Bharat Parashar said bail has been granted on a personal bond of Rs. one lakh and with the condition that the accused will not leave the country without the court's consent.
He also directed the prosecution to give a copy of the charge sheet to all of the accused.
Parashar further said that the allegations are of a serious nature, as all of the accused occupy senior positions. He added that none of the accused were arrested during the investigations, as they did not deny to cooperate.
Congress functionary and industrialist Naveen Jindal, former MoS for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda and 12 others had appeared as accused before a special CBI court earlier in the day in connection with a coal block allocation scam case.
