Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday said the probe into the deaths of people connected to the Vyapam scam must be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

"The probe into the deaths of people connected to Vyapam scam should also be handed over to the CBI," said Digvijaya.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that he will request the High Court to order the CBI to conduct its inquiry into the Vyapam scam.

Chouhan also claimed that the Congress had indulged in baseless allegations against him and that their accusations were merely to spoil his reputation.
