English singer Coleen Nolan has said that Denise Van Outen splitting from Lee Mead has highlighted the sad fact that celebrities should never marry each other.
She said that there are famous couples who do make their marriage work and who say that they have been happy for years.
Nolan explained that understanding the ups and downs of a career in showbiz is helpful for two people who are in the limelight.
She explained that she knows only too well from her marriage to Shane Richie in 1990 that as two celebs in a relationship, people are faced with hurdles that an ordinary couple doesn't have to worry about, the Mirror reported.
Nolan said that Van Outen is obviously ambitious and so is her husband Mead and if neither of them was willing to compromise then their marriage could not have worked.
She added that sometimes for the marriage to work, people have to say no to their new job and stay home, start prioritising your relationship.
