Celine Dion's husband Rene Angelil is recovering after secretly undergoing surgery for throat cancer - nearly 15 years after he last battled the disease.
The 45-years-old singer has been juggling her Las Vegas concert residency with nursing Angelil back to full health since December 23, (2013), when the 72-year-old manager had the tumour successfully removed, Contactmusic reported.
Dion said in a statement released to People magazine that he didn't want Angelil to stress out with work-related issues, asserting that she wanted him to focus on getting back to 100 per cent.
She said that she's been doing her shows at the Colosseum (in Las Vegas) and everything's under control.
Dion explained that at home they've been spending a lot of quality time with the family, adding that they feel very fortunate that they've been able to get the best care possible and they thank God every day for helping them get through this ordeal.
