A Mumbai court on Thursday absolved Sohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan encounter cop N.K. Amin of all charges.
Amin, currently a Deputy Superintendent of Police in the State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB) in Gandhinagar is the 11th accused of all charges.
He was granted bail in connection with the case and reinstated in the state police service on June 5, 2015.
Sohrabuddin, a gangster, was killed by Gujarat police along with his wife Kausar Bi in 2005.
Earlier, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had declared him as one of the key accused in the killing of Ishrat Jahan, Pranesh Pillai alias Javed Shaikh, Zeeshan Johar and Amjad Ali Rana.
