Orphan children had a gala time as a charitable group treated them to breakfast and a screening of the movie 'Happy New Year' in a multiplex in Gujarat recently.
More than 500 orphans enjoyed the special screening of the action comedy-drama in Surat.
"I have come to encourage the organisation for the third time. The organisation gathered a list of orphan children and brought them for the screening, providing them breakfast," said BJP legislator Darshana Jardosh.
Meanwhile, an orphan boy, Bhargav Mevawala, said that they look forward to the annual these film screenings of their favourite stars.
"We get this opportunity once a year to watch a film in one of the multiplexes and we feel happy about the day," said Mevawala.
Two screens were booked especially for these children who have a very few such occasions of joy.
