Charlize Theron, who will be seen in 'Mad Max
The South African-American actress said in an interview that when people first started talking about this film, this loud whisper went around town that director George Miller was looking to create a female character that can stand next to Max and carry the journey with him, Fox News reported.
The 39-year-old actress, who will play plays Furiosa, a warrior with a shaved head and prosthetic arm, said that for a female actress, that always sounds intriguing and as female actor hear it all the time and very few filmmakers see that through.
The 'Mighty Joe Young' star said that it was crazy that they lived in a world, not just in Hollywood, where women get paid less than men for doing the same job.
Theron added that according to her a lot of people know what women mean when they speak in that articulation and what it boils down to is just equal rights.
