China announces plans to create fair competition review mechanism

China's Commerce Minister Zhang Mao has said that the government will soon introduce fair competition reviews into its industrial policy.

Mao was quoted by the Xinhua news agency, as saying on Saturday that the government is desirous of having a fair and competitive economy.

He further said that an economy that was open and transparent would not hinder economic transformation and upgrade, but reverse reverse past ills.
