Chinese aircrew has reportedly spotted suspicious objects in the southern Indian Ocean, which could possibly belong to the missing Malaysian Airline jet.

The crew spotted 'white and square' objects aboard a Chinese Ilyushin-76 plane and the coordinates of the objects have been reported to Australian command centre and Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, which is en route to the sea area.

According to news.com.au, a Chinese news agency revealed that military plane set off on Monday from Perth to seek the suspected debris floating in the remote waters captured by satellite imagery.

This comes after France furnished satellite images of possible debris in the southern corridor search zone, where Australian authorities too located similar images.

The report said that poor weather is expected to hamper the search, which is taking place in isolated waters about 2,500km south-west of Perth and in a new area about 850km north of this.

The ill-fated Flight MH370 disappeared from civilian radar just 40 minutes after take off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8th and multiple countries have joined the search efforts to locate the plane which was carrying 239 people onboard.
