Chris Brown has been charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run and for driving without a valid license following a car accident in California.
According to City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan, the incident occurred on May 21 in the San Fernando Valley when the singer crashed into a Mercedes and allegedly failed to exchange details with the other driver involved.
Los Angeles city prosecutors said that Brown did not have a valid driving license and he left without handing over insurance and contact information.
However, the 24-year-old singer was left furious and took to Twitter to strongly defend himself after hearing the news
He claimed that has a valid driver's license and he also gave the woman the right information.
If convicted of the charges, Brown will face up to a year in prison.
