Colombia made a spectacular show in their Group C World Cup opener by defeating Greece 3-0.
Colombia left back Pablo Armero set the pace for his national side towards a comfortable win towards Greece and they are currently looking to progress beyond the last 16 of a World Cup for the first time after finishing runners-up to Argentina in South America qualifying.
According to the BBC, striker Teofilo Gutierrez, who is leading Colombia's attack in the absence of the injured Radamel Falcao, winger James Rodriguez and Armero scored for the Colombian national team as Greece tried hard to find a way back into the match,
Colombia coach Jose Pekerman said that the crucial thing was that everyone did the job they were tasked with and that allowed them to play calmly, adding that this result is very important for them and sets us up well for the rest of the group stage.
Pekerman also said that Colombia has not won anything yet, though he is very happy with this performance.
