With only four days left for Madhya Pradesh assembly polls scheduled for November 28, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday launched a high-voltage attack on the Congress. "The Congress party cannot live without power," he said.
Addressing a poll rally in Mhow, Chouhan said, "The Congress party has been like a fish, living without water for the past 15 years as they have not been in power since then. Moreover, they have been angry for the last 13 years as the son of a farmer has been the state's Chief Minister."
Elaborating upon the work that has been done by his government for the welfare and development of the state, he said, "We have left no stone unturned for the development of the state. We make policies for the welfare of small farmers which will benefit them along with the bonus they get."
Lashing out at Rahul Gandhi led-Congress, he claimed that Congress gets angry when his government works for the benefit of the poor and elderly.
He said, "The Congress party gets angry when we work for the poor. The Congress party gets angry when we send elderly on pilgrimage."
Chouhan urged the people to vote for the BJP in the ensuing polls so that the state can develop and progress.
Madhya Pradesh, with 230-member assembly seats, will go to single-phase polls on November 28. The counting of votes will be done on December 11.
