Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said that the Congress should introspect on the reasons for their loss in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections instead of pointing finger at others.
The minister was reacting to the Congress releasing a book '6 Maheene Paar U-Turn SARKAR', which accuses the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of not fulfilling its pre-poll promises.
"They are talking of U-turns... I would first like to ask the Congress how many times [former prime minister] Manmohan Singh's government has taken U turns during its 10-year rule due to Sonia Gandhi's intervention and under Rahul Gandhi's pressure? We respect the Congress, they should have introspected on the reasons for their loss instead of pointing finger at others," Prasad told the media.
"After the BJP came to power, the entire world has started respecting India and Indians more, and the Congress is releasing this booklet," he added.
