Congress workers staged a protest against Budget 2014-15 here on Friday. The protest was led by Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely.
Sajjan Kumar lashed out at the government saying that the general budget is not meant for the common man.
Lovely also criticized the budget for its lack of authenticity and assurance.
"The prices of rail travel, gas, petrol and food increased before the announcement of budget but now after the budget it's not sure whether they are fixed or will further increase. Budget 2014-15 lacks direction," said Lovely.
The protesters marched on the streets with anti Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slogans and also burnt his effigy.
Yesterday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had presented the General Budget for fiscal 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha.
