Cryptic crosswords take nine years to master

It takes nine years of practice to properly master the cryptic crosswords, a new study has revealed.

Psychologists, Dr Philip Fine and Dr Kathryn Friedlander, of the University of Buckingham, studied 750 people tackling crosswords and found that practice finally paid off, the Daily Express reported.

Friedlander told the publication that it makes you feel rather good and rather smart to get the "eureka" moment when people finally understand them.
