Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday charged former Proteas bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe for breaching its Anti-Corruption Code for Personnel ("the Code").
The investigation carried out by CSA's Anti-Corruption Unit alleged that Tsotsobe was involved in a match-fixing during the 2015 Ram Slam T20 league.
CSA's investigation began in October 2015 and has since banned Gulam Bodi, Jean Symes, Pumi Matshikwe, Ethy Mbhalati, Thami Tsolekile and Alviro Petersen under the Code.
Among other charges, the 33-year-old bowler has been accused of failing to disclose receiving a gift or payment and failing to disclose details of any such approaches.
"Under Article 4.7 of the Code, CSA has now provisionally suspended Tsotsobe from playing, coaching or otherwise being involved in any capacity in any match under its jurisdiction or that of the ICC or any other ICC member," an official release stated.
The left-arm seamer played 89 times for the Proteas across all three formats, including five Tests, taking 121 international wickets and topped the ODI rankings in 2012.
