The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued an order stating that a warrant will be issued against anyone who fails to appear after being summoned by the commission.
The DCW had taken legal opinion from senior lawyer Indira Jaising before issuing the order, which will come into effect from today.
"If DCW summons someone and that person doesn't respect it then DCW can issue arrest warrant," DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal told ANI.
"We can actually attach that person's property. We have sought legal opinion from a senior lawyer," she added.
