David De Gea has reportedly been willing to sign a new contract deal with Manchester United worth two lakh pounds a week.
The report came after the Spaniard's failed transfer to the Real Madrid last week due to miscommunication between the two sides.
According to the Mirror, De Gea could make his first Premier League appearance of the season against Liverpool on September 12 after his agent Jorge Mendes held talks with United manager Louis Van Gaal.
Following De Gea's ill-fated transfer saga, Real president Florentino Perez had ruled out approaching the 24-year-old for the next season, adding that he expects the goalkeeper to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
Reserve-goalkeeper Sergio Romero was preferred over De Gea in the first four games of United in the ongoing Premier League season.
