Swashbuckling batsman AB de Villiers scored his fourth century of the tour to steady the sinking ship as South Africa ended the two-day warm-up game against the Indian Board President's XI in a draw at Mumbai on Saturday.

Replying to Board President's XI's first innings score of 296, South Africa were reeling at 111-6 before De Villiers (112) and Dane Vilas (54) added 115 runs for the seventh wicket.

The hosts then scored 92-0 in their second innings, with KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara remaining unbeaten on 43 and 49.
