Congress leader J P Agarwal on Sunday said it was up to the high command to decide who should be the new party chief in the capital.

"This is a system, no person stays as the party president for long. Besides, it depends on the high command as to whom they trust enough to give the leadership," said Agarwal.

According to reports, Congress spokesperson and general secretary Ajay Maken will take over as the new party chief in Delhi.

An official announcement regarding the report is likely to be made today.
