Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, Congress Party leader Deepender Singh Hooda on Tuesday held several public meetings in Sonipat and campaigned for his party's candidate from the region, Jai Tirth Dahiya.
Addressing the gatherings, he urged the people to support his party to form a government in Haryana for the third time.
"This is democracy and you have to decide whom you want to support. If you think that Bhupinder Singh Hooda has worked for the betterment of people in a sincere manner then vote for us," said Hooda.
Congress candidate from Rai in Sonipat Jai Tirth Dahiya also addressed the gathering and said, "I have worked with all heart and honesty for the people in the last five years, allow me to serve you further by voting for Congress."
The election for 90-member Haryana Assembly will take place on October 15 while the votes will be counted on October 19.
