Dwayne Johnson is in talks to join the adaptation based on the book by Robert Ludlum 'The Janson Directive.'
The 44-year-old former WWE star, who is known for his role in the Fast and Furious franchise, would play the lead in the Universal project if the deal worked out, Contactmusic reported.
Ludlum, who's the author of 'The Bourne Identity,' centers his 2002 published book on a former consular ops agent, who leaves his job and becomes a private security consultant, and only takes assignments he believes would actually help the people in need.
Johnson currently has a series of films in his pocket and will also soon be seen in the 7th installment of 'Fast and Furious' which will release in 2015.
