Celta de Vigo boss Luis Enrique has announced that he would be leaving the La Liga club at the end of the current campaign, to take a step closer to becoming Barcelona's manager next season.
Although Enrique, who is a former Barca captain, has reportedly been tipped to succeed Gerardo Martino, he has insisted that he has not yet reached an agreement with any other club for next season.
According to Sport24, Enrique said that Celta Vigo has gone through a year of transition, stabilizing itself in the Primera Division comfortably and he feels that it is the moment to say to the club that he is not going to continue.
The Spaniard said that currently he does not know where he would be managing next year, adding that he does not have an agreement with anyone, or anything like it, although that seems incredible.
Enrique, who coached Barca's B team during Pep Guardiola's time in charge of the club, further said that that his linkup is just speculation, whether one believes him or not.
