Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday congratulated the state units of Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand for heading towards wins in the assembly elections.
"In Jharkhand, the BJP is forming a government and in Jammu and Kashmir too, BJP has been victorious. Extend my good wishes to the state units," said Fadnavis.
BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy also expressed confidence of the party forming governments in both Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
"As far as the Jharkhand is concerned, it is for the first time we will ever get a majority. This is a major development for a stable government. And for Kashmir, it is a historic thing that the BJP has managed to now bring Kashmir into the national mainstream," said BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy.
"This is a very good thing for the national integration. The credit must go to Narendra Modi who took the personal risk while he addresses meetings and to our workers to work so hard," he added.
According to the latest election trends, out of the 81 constituencies in Jharkhand, the BJP is leading in 35, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in 21, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) in eight, Congress and its allies in eight, and others in nine seats.
