Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt has said that he is re-considering his decision to retire in 2016 following requests from his supporters and financial backers.

The six-time Olympic champion had previously indicated that the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro would be his swansong, although he now hinted that he might continue in the sport for one extra year.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Bolt said that he believes that his fans and sponsors wants him to continue for which he is rethinking his retirement decision and may continue for one more year just to keep his supporters happy.

Meanwhile Bolt, who claimed gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m at this year's World Championships in Moscow, also said that he hoped the account of his personal trials and tribulations in his autobiography 'Faster than Lightning' would inspire readers to believe that with hard work, anything is possible.
