Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will lead a 21-member delegation comprising party leaders from Punjab, to President Pranab Mukherjee over Faridkot firing case.
He will meet the President and is likely to demand a time bound probe into the alleged police firing on protesters in which two persons were killed at Behbal Kalan area in Faridkot District last month.
The police had allegedly opened fire on the people who were protesting against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village.
Earlier, the Punjab police had registered a case of murder against the unidentified police officials who opened fire on the protesters.
However, the police claimed that they had fired in self defence when the protesting members of various Sikh organisations clashed with them.
