'Fashionable' at 70, Helen Mirren has no plans of slowing down

Despite of her age clock ticking to 70, Helen Mirren shows no signs of slowing down, shutting up or becoming invisible.

The Oscar winning star has not only been a brilliant actress for over 50 years but has also been a style crush for many because of her unique style and fashion sense, observed the Guardian.

The 'Women in Gold' actress believes that no dress is complete without sleeves and her campaign for better coverage and the right not to keep the arms bare has made dresses with sleeves more desirable and fashionable.

Talking about ageing, the BAFTA award winner said that she used to worry a lot more about her looks than she does now.

She added that when a woman is young and beautiful, she is paranoid and miserable and she thinks the great advantage of getting older is that one lets go of certain things.

Taking travelling light to a whole new level, Mirren admitted that she only takes underwear on holiday and heads straight to a charity shop on arrival to buy the rest of her holiday wardrobe, then drops it all off again before catching a flight home.

Even at this age the actress has found her style and continues to refresh and refine her wardrobe and experiment with playful prints, dress silhouettes and the occasional pink rinse.
