Felicity Huffman has been roped in to star in '12 Years a Slave' writer John Ridley's new ABC drama.
The drama pilot, written, exec produced and directed by Ridley,is going to examine the personal lives of the players involved in a racially charged trial as their worlds are turned upside down, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Huffman is going to star as Barb Skokie, Russ' (Leverage's Timothy Hutton) stoic former wife who raised her two sons, Mark and Matt, alone in public housing while her husband was off gambling.
Ridley will be penning the script, and will be executive producing it with Michael McDonald. Ridley will also be directing the drama series.
