Formula One team Ferrari has said that its decision to bring 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen back to the Formula One team next season is not likely to hurt Fernando Alonso's chances for the title.

According to The Independent, Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali expressed that Alonso was a key asset to the team and would be for a long time.

He said that Alonso was too intelligent not to realise that a stronger team could only be an advantage.

Recently, Felipe Massa had announced his exit from Ferrari on Twitter, paving way for Kimi Raikkonen's return.
