Five dead in road mishap in Afghanistan

At least five persons were killed and 45 were injured on Monday morning when a bus crashed on Afghanistan's Herat-Kandahar Highway.

The accident happened as the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, reported TOLO news, quoting Kandahar officials as saying.

No further details were provided.

The Kandahar-Herat Highway is 557-km road that links the cities of Kandahar and Herat in Afghanistan.
