England team director Andy Flower has said that he is determined to make a turnaround for the team in the Boxing Day Ashes Test as the remaining two Tests are very important even if England has lost the urn.
Flower is still confident that he has the 'ear' of the players, and reiterated his stance that he does not look too far ahead as he believes there is time for reflection after the series.
According to The Guardian, Flower said that he is focused on making a turnaround for England in the final two Ashes Tests, starting in Melbourne, as he believes both are very important despite England losing the series, adding that every Test is a grand occasion.
Flower further said that he takes his responsibilities very seriously as he is ultimately responsible for the result of this series, adding that there is a world of difference between a 5-0 result and 3-2 one.
Refusing to underestimate the task ahead given how he outlined England's shortcomings and Australia's strengths in the series so far, Flower also said that it is obvious that England performed very badly with the bat, adding that they are not going to win many Test matches if they do not score heavily in the first innings.
