Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Joginder Singh passed away on Friday after a prolonged illness.
The cremation will take place at 1 pm tomorrow in New Delhi.
Singh, who was the CBI director between 1996-97, had served as Special Home Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Superintendent of Police in Bihar, DIG and IG Police in Karnataka, Director of Youth Services in Karnataka, Director, Ministry of Commerce, Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau and Special Secretary in the Union Home Ministry.
Singh had been conferred with the awards of Delhi Rattan, Punjabian DI Shan, Panth Rattan, Millennium Sikh Gold Award and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sadbhavana Award.
