Seems like Paramount Studios is going through a rough patch. Recently the studios pulled down the sequel to 'World War Z' from their calendar and now the reboot of the horror classic 'Friday The 13th' has been delayed indefinitely.

With less than six weeks to go for the principal photography, the studio has shut down the latest adaptation of 'Friday The 13th,' reports The Hollywood Reporter.

This decision takes place on the same day the movie got undated by Paramount, which was to open on October 13.

The exact reason for this decision is still not clear. Although, it is believed that one factor could be due to poor performance of the studio's horror movie, 'Rings'.

A source close to Friday the 13th would only say that "the production was not ready to go at this date."

The project is a reboot of the 1980 low-budget hit horror movie, which already has 11 sequels as it told the blood soaking stories of Jason Vorhees, the seemingly unstoppable hockey mask-wearing killer.
