The world's largest Sweden-based Ice Hotel that includes a frigid rainforest, a massive ice-cube clock and a frozen theatre is now underway, it has been revealed.
The plans for the new hotel, which is built each year in Lapland because the construction melts away when the weather warms up, are made by Icehotel specialists Discover The World, the Daily Star reported.
Designs for the suites have been selected from over 100 international entries and include a rainforest with orangutans carved in ice and a frozen forest fairy.
A highlight for 2014/15 is the Aurora Hall that is a domed theatre made from water sprayed on to giant balloons that then freezes in the sub-zero temperatures and there will be 42 artists from around the world to design the arty bedrooms, the Ice Bar and an Ice Church.
The hotel, which will have 61 ice rooms in total, including the "Art Suites," is easily accessible from the UK, as only direct flight from London Heathrow to Icehotel that takes three and a half hours will be offered.
The first flight of the season departs on December 20, 2014 and the new hotel, where three night breaks start from 1,095 pounds per person, will be opening in mid December and will operate until April 2015.
