A real life jetpack took its first indoor flight for around 26 seconds in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center at the 'Future is Here' festival in Washington, DC.
Jet PI, which built the futuristic flying device demonstrated the machine at the festival and they revealed that it is fueled by hydrogen peroxide and nitrogen gas, which reacts in the presence of a silver catalyst to produce jets of compressed steam that provide the necessary thrust, Discovery News reported.
The pilot has to use one handle to control the pack's flight dynamics including roll, pitch and yaw and the other handle to control the power.
The device costs around 150,000 dollars.
Though, the concept is closer than ever to coming true but they are still not available in the market.
