George Clooney met with an accident today while riding a scooter to the film set in Italy.

According to TMZ, the accident could have been fatal as the actor was riding the scooter at 60 MPH when a car suddenly stopped in front of him.

Clooney was thrown off of the scooter while his helmet got stuck in the windshield of the car causing it to break.

He was reportedly flung into the air after he hit the car.

The 'Ocean's Eleven' star was admitted to a hospital following a road accident.

Reportedly, he complained of a pain in his pelvic area, one leg and an arm, after which he was taken to John Paul II hospital.

His wife Amal Clooney rushed to the hospital and after the hospital gave a green signal about his condition not being serious, both of them left.
