England coach Ashley Giles has urged sacked batsman Kevin Pietersen and his former teammate Matt Prior to patch up their relationship privately, although he insisted that their 'bickering' will have no impact on the well-being of his ICC World Twenty20 squad.
Under Giles and stand-in ODI captain Stuart Broad, England lost against West Indies on Friday and must battle back to stay in the three-match series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Sunday.
According to the Daily Express, Pietersen had hit back at Prior on Twitter, branding him 'Big Cheese' over his comments that the England dressing room will be better off without their star batsman, and Giles urged the duo to settle their spat quietly.
However, England's prospective head coach said that he is confident any more bickering will be no distraction to his players in the Caribbean, adding that he does not follow Twitter and is focused on his job with the team at West Indies.
However, Giles advised the duo to have a private conversation in good faith rather than sniping on social media, adding that he hopes Pietersen and Prior are mature enough to pick up the phone and speak to each other.
