Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Wednesday predicted an 'impending doom' with respect to Delhi Government and the people of the city, claiming that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was crossing the 'lakshman rekha' on an everyday basis.
"Let's see what happens in the future. These people will cross the 'lakshman rekha' everyday which will create difficulties for the common man," Sibal told ANI here.
"God save this city and God save this country," he added.
Earlier in the day, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mahendra Goyal tore a copy of the Union Home Ministry's notification on powers of the Delhi Government inside the assembly as the city government passed a resolution against the Centre's notification through voice vote.
Meanwhile, the BJP MLAs staged a walkout from the assembly.
