Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, on Tuesday, said the main focus of the state-level collector conference was to find out ways to complete the government targets, before the working year ends.

"The main matter of the meeting was to discuss how to utilise the important time left after rainfall and festival of Diwali. Also, to find ways to complete the initiatives and targets set by the government, before the working year ends, between the months of November to July," said the Chief Minister.

Various government projects and issues were also discussed in the four-hour-long meeting.

Stating various government schemes, he said, "Some of the targets of the government include distribution of 35 lakh LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and also completion of roads in various parts of the state."

"The amount of 30,000 crore, which has been spent on the construction of roads, has to be completed. 3,40,000 houses to be provided with electricity. All these targets have to be fixed monthly," he added.

In review of the Electricity Department of the state, Singh on Monday announced electrification of all 3.90 lakh electricity-deprived homes of Chhattisgarh within the next 10 months, under Centre's Ujjwala Yojana.

Chief Minister assessed the work done by the districts under various schemes.

Director General of police, Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General of all divisions, Superintendent of police of all districts and anti-naxal ops officers were also present in the conference.
