Gwen Stefani's obsessed fan has been following her everywhere and even went to her father's home, leaving creepy letters and gifts.

Dennis Stefani had filed for protection, from a man called Richard Portnoy, after her just popped up at their house, making a face-to-face contact, and reading out a letter that expressed his feelings for Gwen, TMZ reported.

He said that he and his wife were terrified of Portnoy, who had also showed up at the 45-year0old singer's house thrice.

He also said that Portnoy had all information regarding Gwen's medical treatments and had attempted to contact her during one of her appointments.

Meanwhile, the police have been tried to locate the stalker, but have not been able to find him yet.

However, the family has been granted restraining order which protects Gwen, her husband Gavin Rossdale and their 3 kids, and her parents Dennis and Patricia Stefani, and Portnoy now has to stay 100 yards away from them.
