Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has reportedly said that England's fielding woes are a sign of real strife and they don't appear to be in a great place.

Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen and Jonny Bairstow were all guilty of major fielding gaffes during the Boxing Day Test.

According to news.com.au, England's mishaps didn't go unnoticed by Haddin, who said that the dismal skills were visible in the team's fielding and that's the first thing to go when the team's struggling.

He said that the batting and bowling is an individual thing, but the team stuff looked like it was breaking a bit the other day.

However, young legspinner Scott Borthwick, who was rushed into England's squad following the mid-series retirement of Graeme Swann and looks set to make his Test debut, said that there was 'no reason' for England's decision to run through their fielding drills instead of spend time in the nets.
