Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will undertake a two-day visit to Kerala from today.
Ansari will present the first Sree Narayana Guru Global Secular and Peace Award to Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr. Shashi Tharoor at a function in the Senate Hall of Kerala University this evening.
On Wednesday, he will unveil the statue of freedom fighter Annie Mascrene and later deliver an address at the Government Women's College.
Ansari will also address the Special Sitting of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary. Later, he will release a book titled "History as a Struggle" by Professor K. N. Panicker.
The vice president will also unveil a statue of Swami Vivekananda at Kowdiar Park and deliver a speech at the Salvation Army School ground on Wednesday evening.
