In a bizarre incident, a drunk sexagenarian flushed down 330,000 pounds she had won from a lottery so that no one else could have it.
Angela Maier, who had won the German national lottery, downed five bottles of champagne and tore the cash into pieces, before flushing it down her toilet, Metro.co.uk reported.
Maier's lottery win prompted the care home, where her husband died, to send her a bill towards his medical expenses, but she became so angry after reading the letter that she threw away her cash in rage.
According to a local court, she might have made up the story to avoid paying the bills, but Maier agreed to pay 3,300 pounds in compensation to settle the case.
